Welcome to Catalina Fleet 21- Chicago Region
We are an owners association of some 75 Catalina Sailboat owners in the Greater Chicagoland region, one of the most established (celebrating 50 years in 2023!), and one of the most active Catalina Fleets around. Members have boats of all sizes, from 22’ up to 42’. .
Great Programs & Monthly Sailing Outings!
Our club presents an interesting, sailing-related program each month on topics relevant to the whole sailing community. Recent programs include DIY boat maintenance, cruising tips, marine weather, ecological lectures, and much more! Many programs are offered remotely via Zoom, and we are resuming in-person gatherings in 2023.
The summer calendar includes outings to many of our members’ harbors. Some of our most popular have been a season-opener margarita party, shrimp boils, and a Kenosha overnight. Longer cruises up the Michigan or Wisconsin shore are often on the calendar.
We sail from all Harbors!
Our members sail from the following harbors: Belmont, Burnham, Hammond, 31st Street, Jackson Park, Kenosha, Waukegan, Michigan City, Monroe, Montrose, Winthrop Harbor, Racine, Wilmette, and Punta Gorda, Florida. We are primarily a cruising fleet, with ports of call ranging from Racine, WI to Grand Haven, MI. Even when drydocked, the activities and programs never stop!
