Muskegon Harbor entrance is marked by a 70-foot red pyramidal tower on the outer end of the S breakwater.  Muskegon Public Harbor is midlength of the S lakeshore at Hartshorn Municipal Marina. Prominent features are the USCG station at the pierhead and the lighted stack of Consumers Power Co. at the E end of Muskegon Lake.

Anchorage is good, generally sand or mud. Full services are available.
